Workshop 'Women entrepreneurs make an impact into Dominican Republic's Tourism'

Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) workshop
The overall aim of the virtual workshop 'Applying the Women's empowerment principles in the tourism sector (WEPs) is to support private sector companies in tourism to identify concrete actions for putting their commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment into practice.

Introductory workshop on Tourism Employment Data Disaggregated by Sex
The goal of this workshop is to become familiar with how tourism employment is measured, its complexity, and how sex – disaggregated data for tourism employment can be obtained. The participants will also have the opportunity to learn from countries that have been able to overcome barriers to achieve it.

Rapid Gender Assessment in tourism Workshop
The UNWTO workshop divided into two sessions provides the tools and specific steps to undertake a Rapid Gender Assessment in the tourism sector. The workshop is addressed to national and local tourism administrations and is available in English and Spanish.

Gender Mainstreaming Guidelines webinar
UNWTO held a webinar last March 16 presenting the new gender mainstreaming guidelines for tourism. Two panel discussions addressed how to effectively integrate gender equality across operations and programming in the private and public sector respectively.
