Workshop 'Businesswomen that make an impact in Costa Rican tourism' This workshop aims to provide knowledge to women entrepreneurs who are part of the "Handicrafts with Identity" initiative and business women entrepreneurs of rural tourism supported by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) in three main areas: (1) Product development; (2) Promotion and marketing; and (3) Communication, paying special attention to how business is intrinsically linked to the tourism industry and how it can be a driver of gender equality.

Workshop 'Women entrepreneurs make an impact into Dominican Republic's Tourism' organized by the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) with the support of the UNWTO, this workshop aimed to provide women tourism workers in the Dominican Republic with practical tools to be able to grow their businesses, taking into consideration the specific difficulties that women face within our sector and their fundamental role in the articulation of the small and medium-scale business fabric.

Gender Mainstreaming webinar workshop

Gender Mainstreaming Guidelines webinar UNWTO held a webinar last March 16 presenting the new gender mainstreaming guidelines for tourism. Two panel discussions addressed how to effectively integrate gender equality across operations and programming in the private and public sector respectively.
