6th UNWTO Silk Road Tour Operators Forum at ITB Berlin 2017

UNWTO Silk Road Programme ∙ Monash University ∙ ITB Berlin

The UNWTO Silk Road Programme is dedicated to the continual support of the Silk Road tourism industry. In 2017, UNWTO Silk Road Programme partnered with the Graduate Tourism Programme at Monash University, one of the most prestigious universities in Australia, to organize its annual UNWTO Silk Road Tour Operators Forum at ITB Berlin.

Following the success of last year´s event, this capacity building meeting focussed on sharing the latest tourism intelligence and know-how of tourism product marketing and contemporary selling strategies tailored to the millennials’ market.

Moderated by UNWTO, Dr Jeff Jarvis and his team of post graduate tourism industry researchers from the Graduate Tourism Programme at Monash University (an internationally acknowledged program for its high-quality educational standards and industry orientation), tour operators and other relevant tourism stakeholders had the chance to receive instant feedback on their tourism products and engage in discussions with young international industry professionals.

We would like to thank all partners involved for their outstanding contributions.
