Expert Group on MST

Expert Group on MST

UNWTO, in partnership with leading countries, the International Labour Organization and the United Nations Statistics Division, has created a multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder Expert Group on Measuring the Sustainability of Tourism to lead the development of a Statistical Framework for Measuring the Sustainability of Tourism

The framework aims to support a more harmonized and integrated measurement of the impacts and dependencies of tourism on the economy, society and the environment, at both the national and sub-national levels.

The Working Group of Experts reports to the UNWTO Committee on Statistics and to the UN Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting.

Editorial Board

The MST Editorial Board aims to provide guidance in terms of management of the Statistical Framework for MST drafting and consultation process. The MST Editorial Board is composed of a limited number of countries as well as regional and international organizations that have been playing a major role in the MST project.
