The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is to host two UNWTO executive training courses on Tourism Destination Management and Marketing.

At the invitation of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), with the support of the UNWTO.Themis Foundation, will give two UNWTO executive training courses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tourism Destination Management and Marketing for Private Sector operators and SCTH executives, from 6th to 8th October in Abha and from 11th to 13th October in Taif.

These courses, to be delivered by three international experts, Adel Rady (PhD), Tamer Atef (PhD) and Saleem Odeh (MA), wish to examine concepts and processes on tourism destination management and marketing in general, as well as to provide the participants with knowledge, skills, tools and a forum for discussion and reflection on those topics applied to the Accommodation sector, the Tour Operators and Travel Agencies Sector, and the Museums and Cultural Sector.

The theoretical-practical methodology followed includes presentations, discussions, debates, group work, and practical activities.The intention of this approach – the transmission and usage of various tools, the expertise of the experts and participants, the discussion forums, the practical group work and the international approach – is for participants to fully understand the topics of the course and to be able to implement the acquired knowledge and skills in their work.
