UNWTO enhances Silk Road programme of events at WTM London 2011

Following the success of the Silk Road Media Mart at the 2010 edition of the World Travel Market (WTM) London, the UNWTO Silk Road Programme is enhancing its presence at this year's WTM with three major events planned to take place.

Included in the programme is the Silk Road feature at the WTM Speed Networking event (Monday 7 November), the first UNWTO Silk Road Task Force Meeting (Wednesday 9 November), and the Silk Road Ch@llenge bloggers' competition (Wednesday 9 November).

'We are delighted to be raising the profile of the Silk Road at this year's WTM London', said UNWTO Silk Road and Fairs Programme Manager Alla Peressolova. 'The first Silk Road Task Force meeting will be instrumental in determining the direction of the Silk Road activity for the next two years and WTM is a great venue for this important meeting. On the same day, we will have some of the world's major travel bloggers racing across WTM to meet Silk Road destinations and create the best Silk Road blog in the Silk Road Ch@llenge. We also look forward to giving a special welcome to Silk Road exhibitors at the WTM Speed Networking event.'

Events include:

The Silk Road WTM Speed Networking event 2011 - Monday 7 November (for WTM exhibitors/co-exhibitors)

UNWTO Silk Road Task Force Meeting - Wednesday 9 November (by invitation only)

Silk Road Bloggers Ch@llenge - Wednesday 9 November (for Silk Road destinations and bloggers)
