On the occasion of UNWTO Masterclass on "Attracting Chinese Tourism to the Mediterranean Countries" which was held in Valletta, Malta, six Maltese entities signed the Private Sector Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics on 24 May 2017 in the presence of Mr. Taleb Rifai, UNWTO Secretary-General.
On 26 May 2017 the president of RENFE, Mr. Juan Alfaro Grande, signed the Private Sector Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics at UNWTO headquarters in Madrid, Spain, in the presence of UNWTO Secretary-General Mr. Taleb Rifai.
On the occasion of the Annual Summit of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) whcih was held in Negombo, Sri Lanka, on 19-20 May 2017, the Asia-based company Triip.me signed the Private Sector Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics in the presence of Mr. Taleb Rifai, UNWTO Secretary-General, and Mr. Mario Hardy, Chief Executive Officer of PATA.
