On the occasion of the biannual session of the United Nations Chief Executives Board (CEB) meeting held in Geneva on the 9 – 10^th May, the UNWTO Geneva Liaison Office (GVLO) had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Pololikashvili, UNWTO Secretary-General to the liaison office in the International Trade Centre (ITC) building. 

The Secretary-General took the opportunity to extend a courtesy visit to Ms Arancha Gonzàlez Executive Director of ITC.

UNWTO opened its liaison office in ITC, Geneva on 10^th January 2017.  The partnership aims at having a more integrated and innovative approach of tourism development for inclusive growth, leading to the achievement of all dimensions of sustainable development within the 2030 Agenda.

ITC- UNWTO partnership is further highlighted in the two upcoming joint ITC-UNWTO side-event sessions during the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Aid for Trade Global Review 2019 where both Mr Pololikashvili and Ms Gonzalez will be speakers in Session 11: “Tourism Financing for the 2030 Agenda” on the 3^rd of July 2019.
