Sandra Carvão es Jefa del Departamento de Inteligencia de Mercados y Competitividad de la Organización Mundial del Turismo (OMT) desde junio de 2018. Antes había sido Jefa de Comunicaciones y Publicaciones durante 8 años hasta mayo de 2018 siendo responsable del posicionamiento estratégico de la OMT.

Con anterioridad a este puesto, Sandra fue Jefa Adjunta en el Departamento de Tendencias de Mercado, Competitividad y Comercio de Servicios de Turismo entre 2007 y 2010. Durante este tiempo, Sandra coordinó el Comité de Resiliencia del Turismo creado por la OMT para abordar los impactos de la crisis financiera global de 2008-2009 en el turismo. Antes de unirse a la OMT en 2003, Sandra ocupó el puesto de gerente de mercado en la Oficina Nacional de Turismo de Portugal en Lisboa. Sandra es Licenciada en Derecho, Rama de Economía por el Instituto de Ciências Sociais e Políticas/Universidade Técnica de Lisboa y tiene un postgrado en Marketing por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Theofilos Kyratsoulis holds the position of General Manager at MINDHAUS, a tourism marketing strategy agency and member of V+O Greece.

Theofilos has an extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, having worked with investment parties, hotel owners and developers, brands, service providers, government and the local community for the development and marketing of award winning, branded hotels and resorts as well as popular and resilient destinations. He also acts as a policy advisor to SETE – Greek Tourism Confederation and serves in the Advisory Council of Cyclades Preservation Fund, a UK Charity established to support sustainable initiatives in the Cyclades Archipelago. He started his career in academia working in research projects for DG Env/ EC, OECD and UNEP/ MAP.

Theofilos holds an MSc in Sustainable Tourism Development from the University of Warwick as well as a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire.

Fabrizio has a Philosophy and Politics background from La Sorbonne University, and previously worked as a strategic consultant.

 

Our times at home has given us plenty of time to get inspired and dream about our future travel destinations when we can do so again. As many destinations are now looking to ease travel restrictions and both the public and private sectors are putting all their efforts to restore confidence build and trust – essential foundations for recovery – it is imperative to get a deep insight on what travellers are now looking for in this “new normal” for tourism. This webinar is intended to guide us in a better understanding of current travel sentiment impacts and identifying future consumer trends that will allow us to restart tourism in an efficient and sustainable manner.
