SCTD Portfolio of Services
The United Nations Steering Committee on Tourism for Development (UN-SCTD) member organisations jointly prepared the portfolio of technical assistance services for tourism development, provided to the interested public and private stakeholders in developing countries.
This Portfolio of Services on Tourism for Development in a concise way services to support and assist in preparation of national tourism strategies and the promotion of regional and community-based tourism development; training and capacity building for the hospitality industry; tourism branding and marketing, and the protection of cultural and natural tourism assets; policy formulation for attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) for sustainable tourism development; strengthening of local tourism enterprises, etc.
