During the 7th Silk Road Task Force meeting, a social media workshop was organized, on UNWTO Silk Road social media outlets and the marketing tools of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017.
After the workshop, a special social media competition was launched aimed at providing participants with practical knowledge on how to increase public awareness for the Silk Road, for Silk Road Programme activities and, overall, on how to fully utilize the potential of these marketing tools. The participants were asked to take pictures during the event and post them on their social media channels by using the official UNWTO Silk Road social media and International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development hashtags.
