UNWTO contributes to the World Conservation Magazine, published by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)

The featured story, Travelling light (p.23), submitted by UNWTO highlights the need to manage tourism in a sustainable manner, while safeguarding the biodiversity for which it depends.  IUCN and UNWTO work together on a number of initiatives including the jointly published guidebook on Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas and joint work with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
