A meeting of the International Marrakech Task Force on Sustainable Tourism Development was held in Costa Rica on 9-11 June. UNWTO actively participates in the “Marrakech process” which supports regional and national initiatives to accelerate the shifts towards sustainable consumption and production. Several initiatives were presented such as the “Global Baseline Criteria” for sustainable tourism and the “Financing and Investing” in sustainable tourism.
