The UNWTO Forum on Tourism and Science: Bridging theory and practice invites all the Knowledge Network members and any individual with research and know-how expertise to submit papers for presentation at the Forum on 1-3 June in Vilamoura (Portugal).

The research and technical papers to be submitted must be in relation with the three main issues to be tackled at the Forum:
A. Development and Competitiveness
B. Climate Change and Sustainability
C. Governance and Tourism Policy

The deadline for submission is Sunday 30th April 2011. Authors selected will be notified on 10th May and will be granted a fee reduction to attend this important event and present their paper.

Publication

A book, with the theme of the Forum as its tentative title, will include selected papers from both research and technical categories. A number of outsiders with expertise on the three subject areas of the Forum will also be invited to contribute. Each author will receive a complimentary copy of the publication.
