Second stage of the UNWTO.TedQual Mentoring in Cyprus

The second stage of the UNWTO.TedQual Mentoring Project aiming to support the redevelopment of the Higher Hotel Institute of Cyprus (HHIC) programmes was carried out in Nicosia, Cyprus between 6 and 8 December 2010.

During this stage, the UNWTO.Themis Foundation and two of its UNWTO.TedQual Institutions: La Rochelle Business School and the University of Surrey presented a first report to HHIC's stakeholders (Public and Private Sector, Faculty and Students) that identified their direct needs as well as other trends and standards that to be taken into consideration when redeveloping the Institution's programmes.

During the next stage (in January and February 2011), HHIC will be visiting the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril, and will then, in turn, welcome a group of experts from - among others - La Universitat de les Illes Ballears - Institution that was chosen by HHIC due the similarities between the two tourist destinations.
