Three training trainers’ courses in Harare, Zimbabwe
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) through its Regional Representation for Africa and its UNWTO.Themis Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry of Zimbabwe, is carrying out three simultaneous training trainers’ courses in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 1st to 5th March 2010.
 
The main objective of these courses is to train trainers, in a theoretical and practical format, in three specific areas of tourism: Guiding service, Front Desk service and Restaurant service.
 
The programme comprises, among other topics: Emerging Trends in Tourism, organization and management of the dining room, product development, expectations of the visitor, customer service, designing itineraries, and hygiene and safety procedures; and related practical activities.
 
This course, included in the programme of work of the UNWTO.Themis Foundation and the UNWTO.Capacity programme’s framework, aims at strengthening the capacity of tourism officials and specialists in their areas.
