The Contents for the UNWTO Course on Tourism Strategic Marketing Planning are being developed by a UNWTO.TedQual University

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, member of the UNWTO.TedQual network is developing the structure and contents of the UNWTO course on Tourism Strategic Marketing Planning.

The aim of this course is to provide practical tools for marketing managers and directors from national or regional tourism organizations so they can develop or supervise planning processes for their destinations.

The contents of this course shall include: market segmentation, marketing strategies, branding and positioning, product development, role of national tourism organizations, cooperative marketing and tourism market trends. They will be given in a blended format (on-line/on-site) and will be supported by case studies, debates and publications.

This project was awarded after the open call was launched during the first half of 2009 which received proposals from universities and independent consultants.
