World Tourism Day Celebration

Amity, having more than 10 senior secondary schools, 07 Universities and over 240 Institutions of higher learning in practically providing world-class education to more than one lakh twenty five students enrolled across 30 campuses spread over various States in India as well as at Dubai, London, Singapore, Mauritius, Budapest, New York, San Francisco and China is making its humble contribution in various activities aimed at nation building. World Tourism Day is celebrated on 27 September to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value. The celebrations seeks to highlight tourism's potential to contribute to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), addressing some of the most pressing challenges society is faced with today. Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) Noida celebrates World Tourism Day aligned with the Theme of UNWTO “ Tourism for all Promoting Universal Accessibility”. Accessible Tourism for all is about the creation of environments that can cater for the special needs of the Tourists with disabilities. This may be due to a disability, Special Needs, Visually Impaired or hearing impaired .or any Physical challenges which an individual faces today, however needs facilitation while travelling or making destinations accessible to all. Keeping in view this theme adopted by United Nations World Tourism organizations and which tends to aspire and to ensure that everyone should receive benefit of universal accessibility in tourism. Following this tradition AITT plans to celebrate the World Tourism Day this year too for 13th Year on 27th September, 2016. This event is expected to be attended by 600 students of Tourism & Hospitality Domain as well as 100-150 industry invitees. Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism (AITT), the only Institute awarded with UNWTO TedQual (Tourism Education Quality) Certification in India, is a unique institute established to provide the best Travel & Tourism Management education to its students.
