Tourism can change the World! One step at a time ...

The Tourism section at Sydney TAFE (students and teachers) will walk the 13 km of the Coastal Trail from Bundeena to Jibbons Head and then to Wattamolla Beach (or take the shorter option - about 4 km - Bundeena to Jibbons Head return). We have the honour of being accompanied by the legendary Dave Wright, an Aboriginal Discovery Ranger employed by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. He will emphasise how the Aboriginal people, the oldest culture in the world, used sustainability to improve their communities for over 60,000 years and how those same lessons can be used to benefit our communities today. We will also pick up all rubbish along the way to demonstrate to our tourism students the importance and benefits of social responsibility. Our walk will leave the trail in a better state than when we arrived; however, the overall objective we aim to achieve is: to inspire our tourism students to view a career in tourism as an opportunity to make a positive change in this world ...
