To boost tourism awareness around the day’s theme and promote the sector’s central role to Jamaica’s economic livelihood, the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment will merge this year’s observance of World Tourism Day with the Jamaica Tourist Board’s Experience Jamaica initiative, marking the occasion with a one-day ‘Tourism Awareness Exhibition’. The tourism awareness event will take the form of tent exhibitions by various local tourism partners. There will also be an after-work ‘chill area’ from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., where patrons and exhibitors will be able to enjoy the entertainment, refreshments and mingle.
