Seminar on Exploring Food Travel and its Business This event is a collaboration between the Omar Niode Foundation, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and the World Food Travel Association. Purpose: Celebrate The World Tourism Day 2014 and promoting food tourism. With the special focus on the community, The World Tourism Day 2014 highlights how tourism can be conducive to advancing sustainable development from the grassroots level. Community based tourism, including food travel activities, involves the local population in the decision making process according to local priorities. Goals: 1) To introduce food tourism and its benefits 2) To share information on global and Indonesia's food tourism 3) To explore opportunities in food tourism business 4) To reflect upon the responsibilities of travelers visiting other communities. Expectations: 1) Professional development for the audience 2) Exploration of food tourism destinations in Indonesia.
