Manipur Tourism Forum's - WALK RUN RIDE for TOURISM

The Manipur Tourism Forum (MTF), a non-profit organisation has been in the forefront in the last few years in promoting and uplifting the state of Manipur in the Tourism map of the world and to India in particular. This Forum is a conglomeration of like-minded people from various aspects of industry and trade. As a part of the WORLD TOURISM DAY – 27th September 2015 - 1 Billion Tourists 1 Billion Opportunities, the Manipur Tourism Forum will be organising a “WALK-RUN-RIDE for TOURISM” which will be flag off by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri. Okram Ibobi Singh from the Main Stadium of the Khuman Lampak. The event will be historic. It will be participated by Olympians, Celebrities from films, theatre personalities, Mountaineers, Padmashree Awardees, students and from various other walks of life. The RUN will finally converge at the historic, THE KANGLA (a Royal Fort of great Historical significance with around 2000 years of history). Apart from this, the Manipur Tourism Forum (MTF) will be awarding 6 (six) FELLOWSHIP AWARDS to JOURNALISTS on this occasion, who are working in the field of Tourism. The Fellowship comprises of Cash Award and a Citation. The work of the fellowship will be PUBLISHED on the 27th September 2015 i.e. the WORLD TOURISM DAY on all leading Newspaper of the State. This we hope would bring in tremendous awareness about the potential and the opportunities that we have in the state of Manipur. Also, cultural items will also be witnessed in the form of “THANG- TA” and “MUKNA”. This will provide a glimpse to the rich cultural heritage of the state providing an insight of the potential that how culture and art can bring and uplift tourism in the state of Manipur.
