Launch of www.ebatuta.com, a platform to connect travelers & artisans around the world

Ibn Battuta (ابن بطوطة) (February 25, 1304 – 1368 or 1369), was a Moroccan explorer over a period of thirty years. His journeys included trips to North Africa, the Horn of Africa, West Africa and Eastern Europe, and to the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and China. Ibn Battuta is generally considered one of the greatest travellers of all time. In tribute to Ibn Battuta we have named our plateform www.ebatuta.com to connect travellers looking for an authentic souvenir locally made, and artisans producing high quality handicrafts around the world. We believe this will contribute to community developpement by increasing the artisans income especially in rural areas and developping sustainable business linkages between handicraft producers and tourism markets.
