Greener Pastures, a pioneering sustaonable travel company based in Northeast India, is planning to celebrate the World Tourism Day 2014 along with village children of Kaziranga National Park, Assam. In accordance to the year's theme of 'tourism & community development', the children will be taken on an educational trip to the ancient town of Sivasagar, where they will get to observe the history and ancient ruins of their ancestral Ahom Dynasty. The aim of the outing is to provide the children an insight into their own culture and encourage them to apply tourism as a method of achieving local development.
