Accessible Tourism Pilipinas Forum

The Department of Tourism in its efforts to advocate Tourism for ALL (Accessible Tourism) in the Philippines has embarked in a Barrier-Free Tourism program since 2011 in partnership with the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA). The program aims to make tourism sites and establishments more accessible to all travelers particularly PWDs, the elderly, pregnant women and mothers with small children. In support of the World Tourism Day celebration in the country, the Philippines Department of Tourism will host the Accessible Tourism Pilipinas Forum on September 27, 2016 at the Manila Diamond Hotel. This one-day program includes a forum on Tourism and the PWDs and the awarding of recognition to Barrier-Free Tourism accommodation entities in the country.
