Signing ceremony: Seoul, Republic of Korea, June 2013
On the 1st of June 2013, at the first signing ceremony held in Asia, 8 companies signed the Commitment at the 1st UNWTO Regional Conference on Tourism Partnerships: Future Tourism for Asia and the Pacific (29 May - 2 June 2013, Seoul, Republic of Korea). 7 Korean companies, namely Asiana Airlines, Hana Tour, Korean Air, the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA), the Korea MICE Association, the Korea Tourism Association (KTA), Lotte Hotel and Resorts, and 1 company from Hong Kong, China, Sanctuary Resorts, became signatories of the Commitment.
