1. Why do you choose to work in tourism or in field related to tourism?
I choose to work in tourism because it's a creative, dynamic and one of the competitive industries in the world where to stay ahead of the competition, new ideas and skills are constantly being developed across every areas of the industry, from innovative mobile apps to creative hotel room designs and imaginative tour itineraries.
The tourism industry provides endless opportunitiesto showcase a particular country or continent on the world stage, showcasing their culture, food, natural environment, activities, cities, traditions and heritage which are all vital ingredients to the success of the tourism industry.
The tourism industry provides wide range of jobs so there is never any need for you to get stuck in one niche. It gives you access to careers such as a Tourist Guide, Tour Manager, Travel Consultant, Air Cabin Crew, Holiday Rep. The list is endless.
2. How has tourism helped you to grow?
Tourism has helped me to grow in many positive ways such as gaining confidence, stepping out of my comfort zone, learning new cultures, ideas, changing my perspective, making new friends and made me to appreciate more.
