The Applied Management Research Unit [UNIAG] is a Portuguese research unit created in 2013 by a group of researchers from four Polytechnic Institutes: Instituto Politécnico de Bragança (IPB), Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave (IPCA), Instituto Politécnico do Porto (P.PORTO), and Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (IPVC). These institutes are members of the Associação de Politécnicos do Norte (APNOR). UNIAG is a multidisciplinary Centre that combines a range of scientific areas from management and social sciences with tourism. The main objective of UNIAG is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, thus contributing to the identification and promotion of added value, competitive advantages and development of a potential of excellence in the regional action area of the four Polytechnic Institutes.
