The Affiliate Members Plenary Session is the most important statutory meeting of the Affiliate Members and offers the framework to debate on the state of the Affiliate Membership, analyse the evolution of the implementation of the Programme of Work and share information and proposals for future projects and joint collaborations.
This year, the Plenary Session will focus on UNWTO Programme of Work for the period 2024-2025 marked by the transformation of the tourism sector by fostering public-private collaboration and promoting good practices in the industry.

Committee on Matters related to the Affiliate Members
The Committee on matters related to Affiliate Membership (CMAM) is a subsidiary organ of the UNWTO Executive Council. It serves as an operational channel for the interaction of Affiliate Members with UNWTO statutory bodies: General Assembly (GA), Executive Council (EC), Regional Commissions. The Committee submits reports and recommendations to the Executive Council on issues regarding Affiliate Membership and convenes regular consultation with the Board of the Affiliate Members to establish the strategy and objectives of the Affiliate Membership.
The current composition of CMAM:
- Nine Full Members (Azerbaijan, Cote d´Ivoire, China, Croatia, Honduras, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain)
- the Chair of the Board of the Affiliate Members

Affiliate Members Corner
In the framework of the General Assembly will be organized a dedicated space featuring presentations of selected Affiliate Members. Under the already consolidated format “Affiliate Members Corner” this session will provide an ideal forum for Affiliate Members to present their work to the participants of the General Assembly.
The AMCorner aims to:
- present the work of the UNWTO Affiliate Members
- provide networking opportunities for any potential partnership
- share and exchange the private sector’s knowledge, views and experiences
