A year is a long time in tourism, one of the fastest-moving sectors on the planet. And 2020 produced an unprecedented challenge, turning global tourism on its head and demanding a strong and determined response UNWTO rose to the challenge.
Where others stood still, UNWTO moved forward, supporting the people and ideas with the power to deliver change. During 2020, UNWTO worked for those who depend on tourism for their livelihoods, while also unlocking tourism’s unique potential to drive recovery.
