Himalayan Hospitality & Tourism Awards

Greetings from Himalayan Hospitality and Tourism Development Network (HHTDN), an umbrella organization of tour operators, hoteliers, home stays, transporters and a network of different associations in EAstern Himalaya Region.

Tourism is one of the world’s most important economic sectors. It employs one in every ten people on Earth and provides livelihoods to hundreds of millions more. Data from the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) shows that 100 to 120 million direct tourism jobs are at risk dur to Covid-19 worldwide.

In this grim situation, we at HHTDN believe in mental morale boost-up of the industry in East Himalaya Region. Hence, we are announcing the 3rd edition of Himalayan Hospitality & Tourism Awards 2021 to be celebrated on World Tourism Day on 27th September, 2021.

Since last two years we from HHTDN have initiated this idea of recognizing Tourism destinations, products and people of our EAST HIMALAYA in the form of TOURISM AWARDS on the auspicious occasion of World Tourism Day. This year’s theme for World Tourism Day is ‘Tourism for Inclusive Growth’ as fixed by UNWTO. We at HHTDN would like to pledge for the same.
