10th IFTM-UNWTO Training Programme for the Greater Mekong Subregion

The Global Centre for Tourism Education and Training of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) will organize the 10th Training Programme virtually on “Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism and Reviving Tourism” in collaboration with UNWTO on December 1, 3, 9 and 11, 2020.

IFTM 2020

This will be the 10th edition of the Training Programme. This edition is designed mainly for the UNWTO Member States in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (Cambodia, China, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam) and participants from the Greater Bay Area by invitation.

This Training Programme began in 2015 after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between UNWTO and the Macao SAR Government to enhance the cooperation between the two parties to improve the quality of human capital and increasing the competitiveness of tourism destinations in order to achieve sustainable tourism development. Through this collaboration, more than 200 participants from UNWTO Member States were trained, strengthening Macao SAR's position as an international tourism training hub.

The 10th Training Porgramme will include lectures, case studies analysis, experience sharings, presentations and technical visits. The lectures will be delivered by IFTM professors and scholars.
