North-Ossetian State University has been an educational outpost in the North Caucasus area for almost a century now. First started as a pedagogical institute in 1920, it gradually evolved in a Leading higher educational institution in the south  of Russian Federation. Located in the capital city of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania - Vladikavkaz, the University attracts students not only from within North Ossetia, but also from other regions of southern Russia and even from some foreign countries, including former USSR republics. 

North-Ossetian State University (NOSU) offers a wide range of baccalaureate, graduate and post-graduate programs. Tourism is one of them. Chair of Entrepreneurship and Tourism is currently operating at the Department of Economics and Management.
